A Thank You To My Readers

Dear Readers, I want to take this moment to thank all of you for your support and interest in my writing! I wish I could have A Story For Ireland ready for Christmas, but I have decided to take a little more time polishing this manuscript so that it can be at its best! It looks like the final book in The Broken Woman Cycle will be a 2020 title. I am really very excited about this story and I hope you all will be, as well! Thank you again! Happy Reading!

Staying BUSY As A Writer

Hello, dear readers! Thank you for your patience with me as I work my day job, mother a young child, rock this marriage thing, and finish my third book. Progress is underway on A Story For Ireland and The Broken Woman Cycle will be complete... with maaaaaaybe one or two novellas later on. *wink wink* Seriously, there is a delicious character from book three that I might not be done with. I am in the editing stages and am still shooting for book three to be released in December, but we shall see how things go! It would be easier if writing wasn't a side job for me, but I am sure you've heard that saying every writer winces at. "Don't quit your day job." Probably because day jobs have health benefits, retirement, etc. Those things are necessary and yet, because we need a day job to get them, are super counterproductive to productive writing. Unless you just have a super sweet deal with your publisher. Most of us don't, though. Haha. Anyway! Stayed tu...

The Broken Woman Cycle Update

Dear readers, I have finally finished the rough draft of A Story For Ireland. Book three of The Broken Woman Cycle is on the way to editing!  Whew! Life has been in such a transitional phase for me since The Hills Of Tuscany was published. I didn't think it would take me this long to get book three out, but I have persevered and hope to have it available for sale by December of this year. While the manuscript is going through the editing processes, I may also brush up books one and two. I am thinking about doing another edition with new covers and everything. We shall see! I hope my readers are as satisfied with Robert and Caprice's story as I am. Happy Reading!

Assassin: Chapter Thirteen Excerpt

Hello, everyone! It has been a while since I posted an update about my writing. So here is a little teaser excerpt from my series on Channillo. If you want to check out the rest, then please follow the  link  here. Happy Reading! ********** With a sudden jerk, Thayne brought his horse around and grabbed the back of her head. Wrapping his fingers around her thick hair, he pulled her face an inch away from his own and held her there. His sudden closeness was a shock to her system, for he had been very careful to keep his distance up until this point. She was bound and helpless again, completely at his mercy. The searing anger in his eyes burned her and the controlled fury in his taught muscles frightened her, but somehow she could only register his nearness and the pounding of her heart.

Assassin: Chapter Ten- The Royals

I am posting to announce more chapter updates on Channillo! I added another viewpoint. Allow me to introduce you to the noble.           ************************** Natalie Stuart watched grimly as the stone encasing closed over her father’s face. She glanced surreptitiously at the unwelcome guest who had arrived just before the burial ceremony began. King Loren stood to her left with a solemn expression, his shoulder-length brown hair held back by the circlet of gold around his head. His immaculate beard hid most of his face from view, but his hazel eyes seemed soft and sad. He had come regaled in splendid gold and deep purple, looking every bit the king of a flourishing country. As she watched him, Nat felt only contempt and wondered who he’d hired to poison her father. She did not doubt for a moment that he was behind the murder. King Loren needed the emperor too much to allow one resistant voice to destroy his hopes of winning the war. With d...

Assassin Chapter Eight Sample

Greetings! I am blogging to announce another chapter update on Channillo. Enjoy the free sample below! ************************************** Thayne’s eyes shone white and a strange pattern appeared on his skin as he purposefully opened his fingers. Eric’s body split apart with that single gesture. The boy screamed only a second before Thayne closed his hand and his nephew fell to the ground whole again. “It was worse for her,” Thayne growled as Eric shook violently and vomited in the dirt. “Be grateful I held you in stasis.”  When The Knight turned toward her, she flinched. Forget the guild. This man was more dangerous than any of them combined. He seemed sad again as he examined her expression. “Go lay down on my cot,” he said softly. “You’ll need to rest before you feel well again.” ************************************** Thank you for reading my sample! If you are interested in more, then please find me here  on Channillo. Happy Reading! ...

Writing, Writing, Writing

It seems there are not enough hours in the day to feed my writing obsession the way it needs to be fed. Rest assured that progress is being made, though my other roles in life give me even less time to work. I am posting an update, however. I am on the final chapters of A Story For Ireland. I know it has been years, but I needed to adjust to my role as a mother. That was a pretty massive adjustment. Before motherhood, I was able to write a book in a year. I am back on the horse and ready to proceed, though, so I will FINALLY have A Story For Ireland out by the end of this year. I am also very excited about my new fantasy series, The Chronicles Of Arith.  I am currently posting it exclusively on Channillo, but it may also make an appearance on KDP. The short story,   Tania Of Acona , has become a book titled Assassin: The Chronicles Of Arith . I hope it is enjoyed by others as much as I enjoyed writing it. Here is the most recent excerpt and a link: They had reached the e...

Things To Have Accomplished By Thirty

I recently hit that most dreaded milestone of womankind.... thirty. Now that I'm officially 'grown', I find myself wondering what sort of standard for success I'm supposed to have met by now. I'm sure I am not the only person to ever wonder about this, but allow me to throw my small pebble into the proverbial ocean of opinions on reaching the official age of adulthood. What should you have accomplished by thirty that enables you to say you deserve the number? In my experience, society demands a good education, a career, a nice car, a mortgage, a successful marriage, a few kids, and a retirement plan. You need to be comfortable financially and cooly able to handle everything that comes in your path. Oh, if only everyone were able to attain the perfect ideal. Unfortunately, we are human beings. And human beings are messy.  Very, very messy. That's just life and that's okay. If no-one has ever told you that its okay if you aren't perfectly successful ...

Tania Of Acona: Chapter Five- The Truth

Recognizing the screams from her nightmares, Tania tried to pull away. Desperately, she realized it was impossible as some iron force pushed her into the past.   Grass-hewn huts burst into flame as an incandescent toddler cries and runs toward twisted men in bloody armor. His small arms lift for comfort and help, but they slay him instead. Tania screams and tries to look away, crawling through mud under a stunning star-strewn sky. She is the only inhabitant of the village who does not glow in the dark, but her mother… she cannot leave her mother to these monsters. Thank you for your interest in Tania Of Acona! Tania Of Acona: Chapter Four- The Interrogation

Thayne finished setting camp, and then turned to face her with hard eyes. She tensed as though to flee, but the rope was still holding her captive. The rough hemp gleamed with her blood, but her wrists were no longer injured. Whatever prayers he had recited were incredibly effective. “So, Hanaldi,” he began as he warily knelt in front of her, “are you ready to be civil?” Thank you for your interest! Follow my story  here  on Channillo for more! Happy Reading!

Tania Of Acona: Chapter Three- The Prisoner

As soon as she felt the light leave her, Tania moved with blinding speed. Drawing the poisoned dagger she always concealed at her thigh, she made a sideways leap and lodged the blade in the side of his- I hope you enjoyed this sample from the next chapter of Tania Of Acona. Tania Of Acona: Chapter Two- The Failure

Image
On the fourth morning, she was just finishing her meal of jerky and water when she heard the unmistakable sounds of an approach. She turned with blinding speed and sent an arrow in the direction of her assailant, but a  clank  told her it had glanced off someone's armor. Before she could even draw another breath, a pulsating ball of light slammed into her chest and pinned her against the solid oak behind her... I hope you enjoyed this sample of chapter  two! If I Am Gone Too Soon

Image
If I am gone too soon, please remember that I love you. Find your joy, your peace, your happiness and never apologize for being who you are. Enjoy the little moments and plan for the big ones. Remember that science is our way to understand the universe, but the unconditional love of God is how we should live in it. Be kind to each other, but don't let anyone abuse you mentally, emotionally, or physically. Walk away from fights if you can, but it's right to defend yourself or the innocent. Know that I will stay by your side as long as I am able. Even after death, I will try to keep you close. I will never choose to leave, but if I have to go... remember that I love you.

Tania Of Acona: Chapter One- The Knight

Breathing out slowly, she released her arrow with the ease of muscles accustomed to the task. It was a beautiful shot. The dart arced gracefully through the air, past the guards, and was halfway through the carriage window when it happened.... You can finish chapter one of Tania Of Acona  here ! Happy Reading!

Tania Of Acona: The Chronicles Of Arith

Image
Hello everyone! So I started a book on my blog, but it looks like I will be turning the rest of my book, Tania Of Acona, into a series on Channillo. I'm excited to be accepted on this new platform. Also, the other books on there look really interesting! I haven't mentioned this yet, but Tania of Acona is based in the world of Arith. I have several books planned under The Chronicles Of Arith, so this could go on for a long time. If you haven't heard about Channillo, I can expound a little more. Channillo is an online platform where subscribers can read any number of books for five bucks a month. There is a free trial, though! I am a writer for them, but I am also thinking of being a reader. I want to read some of those books. 😅 They are constantly coming out with new material from all genres and now I am proud to work with them! I'm sorry for the change, everyone! I hope you've enjoyed reading my book this far and I hope you will take a look at the magaz...
