And so it begins...
Hello, world. Here we go.
Let me simply confess right now that I am not much of a blogger. My tentative forays into blogdom have been brief and unsatisfying, but today I endeavor to change this. Nay. I shall change this! Sweeping declaration number one.
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a writer. And before you ask, the answer is yes. I am one of the eccentric ones. Who isn't eccentric nowadays, though, right? But I digress. When I say I am a writer, it means that it is an intrinsic part of my personality. Why am I wired this way? I just am. No matter where I work, I always end up feverishly scribbling ideas, and sometimes chapters, down on whatever paper-like substance is closest. Only recently, however, have I begun to publish my books.
Which is exciting!
I have a few writer friends and I cherish them. I'm not sure if they're like me in the way they write or if they have their own methods. As for me, though, I like to be alone when I start tapping away on the latest book. I like to be in a small, dark space where I can shut out all distractions and focus. It really gets the creative juices flowing, you know?
In any case, I've been so wrapped up in education and work that I haven't gotten as much done as I desire to. This is my big chance to really get started. Wish me luck!
